Q: You mentioned above that the machine could be tuned to do lining and shading. Would this be accomplished by changing the spring? Or is there a way to just adjust it? And what are the drawbacks to lining with a machine set up to be a shader?
A. You can adjust your machine to a liner with a shader by adjusting the contact post. We suggest the gap between the contact post and the front spring set to a width of a dime for lining and the width of a nickel for shading. To get the maximum performance out of your tattoo machine, we suggest changing the front spring to a liner spring item 20302.
